Léa Tirabasso



Léa holds a BA in Modern Literature and History of Art. She graduated with a Certificate of Higher Education from The Place, London Contemporary Dance School, in 2009. She worked with José Vidal & Company, Clod Ensemble, James Finnemore, Seven Sisters Group and Peter Groom Dance Theatre in London. For two seasons, she was part of the Tanztheater ensemble of the Staatstheater Kassel, Germany, under the direction of Johannes Wieland. There, she worked with Johannes Wieland, Michael Langeneckert, Stephanie Thiersch and Chris Haring/Liquid Loft, with whom she performed Lego Love for Impulstanz 2013.

Léa works with video, directing the video-dance N87HP Priory Road and Sacre, the latter was screened during the International Dance Film Festival 2013, Bourgogne and at the National Institute of Art History, Paris. She choreographed Jamie T's music video Don’t you find and danced in music videos from The Kooks, Cash+David and Nothing But Thieves. She also worked as an actress in Gail Packering's experimental film Near Real Time screened at the London Film Festival 2014.
Her choreographies XX and Simones have been presented in Germany, England and Luxembourg.
